ACA Rules

  1. A film must open in the previous calendar year, from midnight at the start of 1 January to midnight at the end of 31 December, in Cairo, Egypt to qualify.
  2. A film must be feature-length, defined as a minimum of 40 minutes, except for short subject awards, and it must with resolution not less than 1280×720.
  3. Producers must submit an Official Screen Credits online form before the deadline; in case it is not submitted by the defined deadline, the film will be ineligible for AC Awards in any year. The form includes the production credits for all related categories. Then, each form is checked and put in a Reminder List of Eligible Releases.
  4. Judge committee start watching all movies so they can get put the nominated names for the nomination list
  5. A professional company will start the market research having the opinion of the public to choose from the nomination list.
  6. Judge committee to do a secret voting on individual bases choosing the winners in each categories.
  7. The Chairman of the company is to collect judge committee results and to be personally count who is the winner in each category and to place it in the closed envelope till the date of announcement.
  8. Participated film MUST be translated to English language.
